Butz Plans Partial Stay As Ford Term Winds Down
Agriculture Secretary Earl L. Butz said he will remain in his post next year but not for the full two years left in Ford's term. He predicted sugar prices will stay high for about a year, despite a recent raw sugar price dip. He dismissed resignation rumors and defended his joke about Pope Paul as a harmless humorist. He spoke after addressing the National 4 H Club Congress and was honored with his picture in the Agricultural Hall of Fame.
