Ray E. McMurray 63 Dies at Garfield Bay
Ray Edward McMurray, 63, died at Garfield Bay on a Friday after living in DuQuoin Illinois where he was born August 15 1913 to Louie and Emma McMurray. He married Dorothy Cromer in 1937 in Du Quoin and moved to Garfield Bay in 1976 to caretake Renfrew Resort. He was a retired Illinois Central Railroad brakeman and WWII Army veteran. He belonged to the Trap and Field Club the BRT Lodge and DAV Peoria. He is survived by his wife Dorothy and three daughters.
