School Districts Urged to Save Teacher Salary Increases
Idaho Education Association leaders urged districts to reserve funds earmarked for teacher raises until they can be spent on the promised increases. IEA President Ron Finn said the guidance was one of four recommendations from a leadership meeting amid anger over wage and price controls. The group also pressed for protest against seasonal employment status and noted budgets and levy timing. The NEA is pursuing legal action over contract validity nationwide.
