Major Completes Recruit Training
Navy Airman Recruit John W. Major, son of Mr and Mrs John W Major of Sandpoint Idaho, has completed re recruit training at the Naval Training Center San Diego California. The eight week cycle covered seamanship drill Naval history first aid and general military subjects preparing him for further training in one of the Navy 85 basic occupational fields. He joined the Navy in April 1977.

UPI reports a Utah judge issued a permanent restraining order limiting Douglas Wallace from Temple Square only during times that could interfere with religious practice.
