City officials and the Idaho health department said detergents may be illegal to dump into waterways and may affect bacteria in the sewage system. Youth Injured In Motorcycle Mishap Near Spokane
A Spokane youth 16 was injured Friday when a motorcycle carrying Steve Barnes and Leif Olson collided with a car on US 95 north of the A W Restaurant. Olson was cited for reckless driving. Vehicle damages totaled about 400 dollars. In Sandpoint a separate rear end crash led to one man being punched by the fleeing driver. Police later tentatively identified the assaulting pickup’s owner in Colville Washington.

Pack River Ends Layoff Friday
Twenty-five workers laid off three weeks ago by Pack River Lumber will return to the swing shift on Friday. Dover mill plant manager Russell Rosco said the company will reassign those men as lumber supply improves at Colburn Mill. To ease the swing shift impact, day-shift staff were asked to take vacations during the layoff.

Suspect Sought In Officer's Death In Idaho Slaying
Idaho authorities hunt three states for Douglas Dixon 23 also known as Curley after officer Charles Ashton was shot on I 90 between Kellogg and Wallace while stopping a pickup traveling the wrong way. Dixon is tall with brown eyes and black hair, armed with rifles and possibly a pistol, and linked to drugs and a hit and run in Polson Montana.
