Fire crews from Public Lands and the Forest Service battled blazes near Priest Lake and Sandpoint, many away from roads, with helicopters aiding the six lightning fires. Most fires were under a quarter acre, with the largest around a half acre, and holdovers were expected as weather slowed growth.
