Idaho law lowers maximum speed to 55 mph and caps fines at 5 dollars for underlimit offenses, with no jail term or driving-record points. The National Drivers License Compact links violations to home states, which will assign penalties and points, regardless of where the offense occurred.
Bonner County Education Association met with about 20 members to discuss alleged conduct code violations by School District 82 Superintendent Wayne Likens. The IEA declined to pursue explicit charges citing lack of concrete proof and cost concerns, leaving options to investigate further, refer to the state commission, or drop the matter.
Carl Burke, Church campaign manager, appealed Idahoans to travel to Nebraska for Church's May 11 primary efforts.
