Leohono Carnival Promises Fun at SHS Gym Saturday
Leohono Honor Society stages a Saturday carnival at Sandpoint High School gym starting 7 30 p m with prizes cake walk dart throw bean bag toss and a palm reader. Queen and princesses Gwen Wylie Paulette Park Lynn La Marche will be crowned from the ticket sales. Proceeds fund a Leohono senior scholarship and a dance follows with Jet Thomas Memorial band.

Winners Named at Dockins Spring Open House Treasures

Library Hosts State Visitors in Sandpoint Workshop
A Tuesday workshop for librarians and trustees from Idaho's five northern counties met at the Sandpoint library. The morning tour showcased second floor improvements including a head librarian office magazine storage with a free multi copier and a new conference room. Robert Endsley led both sessions with luncheon speakers Paul Cray and Mrs. Forrest Wetterow outlining civic beautification and ecology plans.

Day School Hearing Over In Sandpoint Case
The Bonner County District Court heard seven witnesses in Stoicheff versus the City Council of Sandpoint with Judge James G Towles taking the matter under advisement. Defense counsel Jim Hunt moved to dismiss for improper writ of mandate. motion denied. Mrs Stoicheff testified to operating a day school and noted other similar schools in the city without permits. Her husband is Idaho State Senator Jim Stoicheff and principal of the South Side School.
