A 90 second freak windstorm in Vancouver Washington killed six people and injured over 300. Debris from Waremart and Peter Ogden Elementary School caused most casualties as roofs collapsed and walls fell. Gov. Evans declared a disaster area as Red Cross mobilized aid.
