Armadillos Open Season With Narrow Wins And Big Stars
The Purple and Gold opened the season by beating Live Oak 28 21 in a hard fought game led by Dacus for the visitors and Shakey Taylor plus Captain Mike Davenport for Armadillos. Davenport captained the team with Taylor and Schneider keying the offense as W Murray Conner D Murray and J Johnson supported the forwards and guards. The squad then defeated Algerita 16 9 on their own court behind Taylor and Davenport as leaders, despite poor shooting.
