On June 9 a jury convicted Ung Bang Don Sam Ha and Vi Quoc Chau of first degree murder and Cuong Chan Phan of second degree murder in the June 5 1994 family graduation party killings of David Hang and Dennis Buan. Board Hears Presentations by Oversight Committees

San Marino High 1997 commencement at Titan Stadium
San Marino High School will award diplomas to about 256 seniors at a 42nd annual commencement in Titan Stadium Friday night June 13 from 7 to 8 p.m. Most plan college attendance with ten National Merit Finalists. The program includes a Ubovich led band, Pomp and Circumstance processional, flag salute, remarks by the superintendent and principals, diploma awards to Rosa Zee and David Liu, alma mater, and a recessional. Families will greet graduates for photos after the ceremony.

Matthew Spence of San Marino is one of five college students awarded the Young American Award at a May 29 luncheon in Orlando.
