Roses to Say You to SM Residents
Cal-American Water Co has completed a new water line along Sierra Madre Boulevard from Robles to Euston to improve volume and pressure for area homeowners. To thank residents for the inconvenience the company is planting roses in the left turn lane into Euston. Virgil Nichols credits Cal-American with doing a good job patching the street.

Superintendent Jack Rose announced Cecile Keeton as the 1997-98 Teacher of the Year and Carlos Valenzuela as the 1997 Classified Employee of the Year for the SM School District. Beginning at 1 p m today San Marino police will carry the 1997 Law Enforcement Torch Run to aid Southern California Special Olympics. The SMPD will receive the torch from Pasadena police and pass it to South Pasadena or Alhambra police per Kurt Keating community services officer.
