Graduation Exercises for Junior and Senior High Schools
June 19 marks graduation for South Pasadena San Marino Junior High with 221 graduates and 290 seniors at South Pasadena High. McIntyre Faries will present diplomas, with speeches by Susan Copeland and John Livingston and awards by Donald Daggett. Baccalaureate on June 15, senior breakfast, and commencement at 4:30 p.m. feature addresses by Rev. Josseyn, Dr. Erickson, and themes of American heritage and liberty.

Norberg Retires As President at California CPA Meet
John B. Norberg of the Los Angeles chapter and retiring NACA president will represent San Marino at the California Society of Certified Public Accountants annual meeting. Bank Gives Long Holiday With Three Day Weekend

Walker Celebrates 20th Anniversary at San Marino Bank

High-spirited Girl Scouts of San Marino closed a year with a field meet at Lacy Park San Marino on June 7. Troop 77 won the attendance award. Troop 45 led senior events. Troop 77 led juniors. Gas Tax Fund Covers Granada Regrading Job
Preliminary plans for the regrading and resurfacing of Granada avenue from Huntington drive to Alhambra road were presented to the City Council by Street Superintendent Paul F. Barton. The project, costing about 15000 dollars, will be financed from state gasoline tax funds allocated to San Marino and includes lowering the street about one foot to ease driveway access and adding curbings where lacking.

Knowland Seeks Tax Bill Benefits for California
