Saline Library undergoes a face lift after foundation blocks were found to be crumbling. Engineers used pressure grouting to stabilize the structure. Brickwork on the east wall begins and a ramp for disabled access is established. Work aims for completion by early to mid November, weather permitting.

She will co-pilot a Cessna 172 K Skyhawk 150 hp with Eileen Wehr of Ypsilanti. event sponsored by the Michigan Small Race Board and the Michigan Chapter of the Ninety-Nines.
Selective Service continues nationwide draft registration amid halted inductions. Ann Arbor draft board hours are 8 a.m. to 4 30 p.m. Monday through Friday with contact at Room 210 First National Building 201 South Main Street 665 3766. Oct 5 6 and 7 feature a 9 a.m. take off for a 200 mile cross country aircraft race limited to female pilots with possible co pilots or passengers. The Small Race debuted in 1956 from Flint to Harbor Springs linked to Ninety Nines convention and is free and open to public.
