Ford, City Disagree Over Saline Plant Valuation
Saline Assessor Dick Cole and Ford Motor Co clash over the plant’s cash value with Ford asserting a figure about 1 million lower than the city assessment of 20 188 400. The tax bill would shift by roughly 5 000, potentially affecting Saline Area Schools. The dispute follows Ford’s annual protest pattern since the plant’s opening and hints at imminent legal action.
