String Music Program Starts at Union School

Local Bank To Offer Trees As Pollution Curb

Automobile theft and related incidents report across Monroe and Saline
Rexal J. Roberts of 311 N. Harris said his 1969 Dodge with Michigan plate GNM 869 was stolen from the Universal Die Casting lot during a night shift and not recovered by Tuesday afternoon. Saline Police pursued a Detroit suspect lead. Janet K. Brown of Milan was aided after a rear collision on N Ann Arbor St near Bennett involving Richard Holcomb of 10075 W Michigan Ave. Brown declined treatment. A Carlton's Marathon pay phone was vandalized with damage to dial coin return and frame but coin box intact. Elwin Kohler Jr. of 302 N Ann Arbor St reported vandalism to his left rear tire on Russell Ave last Thursday.

The Saline Fair drew about 250 entries highlighting hobby and collection displays. Jody Hansel won for a 64 foot gum wrapper chain and Lisa Garrison earned a top prize for a 200 postcard collection begun in 1967.
