Pittsfield Sets State 12 Rezoning For Industrial Commercial Park
Pittsfield Township votes to reclassify 156 acres on State Rd and US 12 to I-1 and C-2 zones. About 83 acres become limited industrial and 71 acres general commercial. T and M Chevrolet and Community Ford plan early spring construction. Area includes eight acres for relocation of the State intersection. The plaza may host a mall and the industrial zone targets light industry.

Minor Fires False Alarm Reported by Saline Fire Dept
The Saline Area Fire Department made two runs Tuesday. A furnace motor at James Rogers 704 Knollwood Ct burned out and sparked a minor fire causing smoke damage. A separate 1:40 p.m. car fire on Valley Circle Dr. was blamed on a lit cigarette with extensive seat damage. A 10 a.m. Wednesday false alarm from a faulty nursing wing detector prompted repairs at Saline Community Hospital.
