Saline Police suffer injuries in weekend wrecks with two patrol cars
A Saline officer sustained minor injuries when his patrol car was struck by a semi truck while pursuing a speeder on W Michigan Ave. The crash, near the Big Boy, totaled the police vehicle and left the officer off duty 1 to 2 weeks. A second patrol car was later destroyed in a separate crash on Milkey Rd as Pedro Gonzales allegedly fleeing Milan police struck the parked unit. Gonzales was treated and released. both officers were uninjured.

Bandit Holds Up Speedway Station For 267 Dollars
A masked man entered the Speedway Service Station on E. Michigan Ave at 9 15 p m and demanded cash from a female attendant. He fled with 267 dollars as witnesses saw no entry or exit. Police used tracking dogs with no luck and call the incident under investigation. A Saline teen was arrested for a separate 400 dollar Saline Lanes robbery with no recovery.
