Substitute Bus Drivers Needed

Traffic counts show shift after I-94 build
A State Highway department survey reports about 1,000 trucks per day on the town hill, down from 2,500 before I-94. Old US-12 traffic dropped from 2,000 to use of the freeway. I-94 now hauls roughly 3,500 commercial vehicles daily between Detroit and the Michigan-Indiana line at New Buffalo. The new US-12 through Saline was formerly US-112.

Two Plead Guilty in Saline Market Break In
Two men admitted breaking and entering in Saline Circuit Court for a $900 robbery at the Saline County Market on September 22. City records high registrations and precinct consolidation
City registrations for the November election reached 1 398 with 105 new names added during the period. City Clerk Bill Muir noted the near miss of needing a second voting machine and a precinct split, as one precinct can serve up to 1400 voters.
