Children Move the Entire Library in One Day
In a town wide event, about 8 000 books 40 periodicals and 50 to 75 records plus numerous chairs were moved from the old library to the new building in one day. Students from 8th grade to elementary helped, shelving and delivering loads along Main Street while teachers supervised traffic. Local donors and volunteers aided with sorting and organizing as the library operations continued to be a community effort. A separate note states a 10.85 mills levy for one year will go to voters on June 9 to fund staff raises and new teachers, with negotiations ongoing for a multi year contract and a potential re opener clause.

Lodi Board to Hear Zoning and Library Funding Items
Lodi Township Board will vote on a zoning change from agricultural to commercial for a proposed trailer park at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
