Si Nord Retires After 35 Years at Ypsilanti State Hospital
Si Nord of 522 Canter bury retires after 35 years at Ypsilanti State Hospital where he served in the nursing service office for over two decades. A retirement tea honored him at the hospital with about 125 friends, and a party in Milan followed. Nord, born in Sweden, moved to the United States at age 10, later living in Minnesota and Detroit before settling in Saline in 1948 with his wife, a longtime ward supervisor at YSH. He plans bowling, golf, and gardening in retirement.

Four Public Meetings Planned On New High School
