The Washtenaw County 4-H Junior Leader Club will sponsor a Country Carnival on Friday July 24 from 5 to 11 pm at the Rural Activities Center on Saline Ann Arbor Road. Proceeds support exchange activities and feature an Old MacDonald's Farm and various booths with rides and contests.

Saline chapter FFA officers joined 175 officers from 28 chapters at Camp Palmer near Fayette for Region Two Leadership Training. Saline participants included president Fred Gall and vice president Wayne McCalla.
City residents must register by 8 p.m. August 3 for the September 1 primary. City Hall handles registrations for residents. rural residents register with their township clerks. City Clerk E. J. Muir issued the reminder this week.
