New Saline Mayor Outlines City Priorities At Start

Michelle Lynn Mehler, daughter of Dave and Sandy Mehler of 739 Valley Circle Dr., appeared to win Saline's First Baby contest by arriving at 11:02 a.m. New Year's Day at Annapolis Hospital Westland weighing 7 pounds 2 ounces. A close second was Thad Wiebusch, born 2:50 p.m. New Year's Day to Roger and Janet Wiebusch of 447 Valley Circle Dr., weighing 5 pounds 9 ounces at St. Joseph Hospital Ann Arbor.

Saline gives city a tot lot and business changes at quick meeting

In a 75 minute session Mayor Hubert Beach and the Saline City Council approved a rapid agenda. A new tot lot was bought for 1, cars were sold for 20 and 162.51, a personnel advisor post was created for George Johnson, and several appointments were confirmed while other vacancies were tabled.
