Sewer expansion begins in Saline with plant work
Excavating equipment arrives this week at Pleasant Ridge and S Ann Arbor Streets and along Michigan Avenue as the Saline sewage plant expansion moves ahead after a $5790 bond sale funded part of the $1 million project. City Administrator Mike Strait says major work at Monroe Street will start soon. Junior Deputies plan a Christmas party at Saline Junior High with a talk by Police Chief Jani Leviett, resuming January 11 after December 14. An East Pakistan relief effort by Church World Service ships 76,106 in aid including blankets and clothing, aided by CROP Michigan.
