Saline and Dexter firemen fought a blaze at Orchard Grove Trailer Park 2735 8 Wagner Rd at 4 25 p m Thursday destroying the trailer. No injuries reported. The 80 year old widow Mrs Bessie Grant was the sole resident and is staying temporarily with Ann Arborkin.
In Manchester Charles Hough pled guilty to speeding and was fined 41 dollars plus costs. Saline defendants include Charles Hertler fined 37 dollars plus costs for speeding and Frank Von Broda fined 16 dollars plus costs for unnecessary noise. Glenn Schultz fined 16 dollars plus costs for unnecessary noise. Marvin Gay of Clinton pled guilty to breaking and entering, fined 100 dollars and placed on probation for six months. Ted Marion of Saline pled guilty to speeding, fined 41 dollars plus costs.
Chelsea edged the Hornets 29 to 26 as Glen Davis drew and several Hornets won decisions or pins. Coach Lambros praised improvement after a tougher opener, noting missed lightweight wins could have swung the outcome for Saline.
