Wheaton choir to perform in Saline on December 30
Seventy members of the Wheaton College choir and symphony orchestra directed by Arthur Katterjohn will give a free will offering concert at Saline High School on Thursday at 7 30 pm. The ensemble tours Canada and the eastern states after the Saline stop.

Barn Burns on Pleasant Lake Road Rebuilt Plan Formed
A barn on the Walter Lindemanns Pleasant Lake Road farm burned last Sunday noon. Lee Bersucher and Eugene Feuerbacher Jr. guided 46 cattle to safety as Saline City and Pittsfield Fire Departments fought the blaze and saved nearby structures. By Monday, cattle were moved to nearby farms and a rebuilding plan for spring was in place.

Glenda Vanderpool reported a Kirby vacuum cleaner stolen from the hallway in front of her apartment valued at 129 dollars. An attempted roof entry at The Plaza Beauty shop was not successful. A speeding stop revealed a wanted passenger who was handed to Detroit Police. Palace V Williams Jr was arrested for carrying a concealed handgun and bound to appear December 3 1971 in Circuit Court after waiving examination.
