The Matchmaker opens at Saline High Theater Thursday
Saline High Theater will stage The Matchmaker Thursday evening at 8 p.m. as the first fall offering by the Saline Area Players. The first audience includes residents from the Saline Evangelical Home and chaperones taken by the Legion's 40 8 boxcar. The Thornton Wilder comedy is set in the late 1800s and repeats Friday and Saturday.

Saline Fire Crews Tackle Third Alarm After Week of Incidents
Saline volunteers fought three alarms last week with two non fires and a third intense blaze. They answered a hospital sterilizer heat sensor alert, a smoke-tomb at Mill Valley, and an assist call from Dexter Fire Department as a barn on Liberty Rd burned. Nearby towns Chelsea, Dexter and Pittsfield helped to keep the fire in the barn, which was destroyed.
