They married April 2 1914 in Vicksburg Michigan and lived in Indiana before settling in Saline in 1924 where he became Citizens Bank vice president. More than 100 riders from Michigan Ohio and Indiana will race Sunday April 26 at Hur on Valley Hills Clinton. The Huron Valley Night Hawks Motorcycle Club of Ypsilanti sponsors a 2 p.m. program with four divisions including heavyweight and lightweight classes. Heats lead to finals with trophies for top three in each race. The course features steep hills and dense trees on the mile layout.

Highest in State Saline High Band Wins Top State Honor
Saline High School Concert Band of 85 members earned the top state honor at the State Band Festival in Lansing. A unanimous First Division rating from four adjudicators yielded 27 A’s and 2 B’s. The judges praised the oboe and baritone solos and overall technique.
