Scouts De litter Saline on Saturday cleanup drive
Three Scout troops Nos 446 416 and 457 will unlitter Saline area roadsides with a 9 a.m. gathering on E Bennett St. They will cover about three miles along Saline Ann Arbor Rd Saline Milan Rd and Michigan Ave collecting bottles cans papers and trash. Refuse will be taken to the city pumphouse for disposal. Troop leaders are Harold West Bud Janich and Mike Crossey. Other projects include city tree planting and spring paper drive on April 11.

1970 Cancer Crusade Begins Local Campaign
The 1970 Cancer Crusade launches with April named Cancer Control Month. Mrs. Charles Deasy heads the local effort at 5585 Blue Grass Lane, with Senior Girl Scout Troop 279 mailing 2,500 envelopes and planning a Tag Day.
