Saline City Petition Prompts Ten Month Home Rule Process

Saline Mayor outlines steps to convert Saline from village to city under Michigan home rule law. If approved, a charter is drawn and submitted for voter approval. Michigan Municipal League and UM aid in charter drafting. A single city polling place would replace rural voting sites.
