Livestock Glut Forces Market Adjustments in Michigan
Livestock glut prompts Michigan farmers to slow marketing and adjust feed. G A Brown of Michigan State College advises delaying sales of underweight animals as December lambs may be fewer. He notes close grazing season and feed shortages push marketing and urges finish lightweight hogs toward 200 pounds and feed heavier beef cattle. A separate note mentions rustproof benches on Dam bridge in Edam, Holland, dating to 1569.
