University coach presents slow motion Minnesota Michigan game

The University coach used slow motion film to show a 7 to 6 Minnesota hold against Michigan at a Rotary meeting at The Taverns last Thursday noon. He argued public expectations exceed reality as several top players graduated and a champion goal is not guaranteed this fall. Dr. Ray Shaw and Junior Rotarians Jimmie Cathers and Bob Ormsby attended. Max Fosdick and Roy J. Miller spoke on district conventions and garden competition prospects.

Soy beans find new garden use as green table crop

Michigan State College researchers promote planting a short row of soybeans in vegetable gardens for green cooking. Varieties Hahto and Easycook provide vitamins and protein. beans are harvested nearly full size while still green and succulent and can be shelled or used whole. Cooking involves a brief boil followed by steaming or further boil with salt, pepper, and optional butter or bacon.

St Pauls League Banquet Plans and Local Events

Local St Pauls League to host a banquet for new members next week. Ree Sunday marks the first baseball game of the season, Ree Sunday afternoon Dearborn vs. e.
