A visiting group from Ro tarians and guests toured the Universal Die Casting and Manufacturing Company. They observed three casting machines, a dozen punching machines, gas heated furnaces, and two daily shifts. The firm plans expansion with a new boiler room and has land for future growth. About 40,000 finished castings leave the plant daily.

Last Thursday Diane Van Est of Britton Richard Faust and George Fiegel of Ypsilanti had their tonsils removed. Mrs. Glen Conde of Milan had an appendectomy on Saturday and is doing very nicely. Mrs. Dale Leonard and her little son returned home on Friday. Little Marjorie Hieber had her tonsils removed on Saturday. Mrs. Louell Rheem and her little son Mrs. Kenneth McDougall and daughter and Mrs. Hargrove and daughter returned home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Daniels have a daughter born on Monday April 30. Mrs Walter Egeler 26 of Dexter township died Saturday night at St Joseph Mercy hospital Ann Arbor after a brief illness. Born Luetta Jedele March 29 1919 in Saline she married Walter Egeler March 6 1943 and lived at the Christian Stoll farm in Dexter. She was a member of St Pauls Evangelical church Chelsea survived by husband her father George Jedele four sisters and four brothers Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 pm Rev P H Grabowski officiating. Interment Bethlehem Cemetery Ann Arbor.
