Fifth War Loan Drive Under Way In Saline

The Fifth War Loan campaign aims to sell 16 billion dollars in bonds nationwide. Saline targets 225,000 dollars with a local push stressing Series E F and G bonds and invites volunteers to buy at least 1000 dollars in Series B bonds.

Bobby Cook To Announce Nation Wide Program

Bobby Cook from the Saline unit of the Edison Institute will announce the first of four Sunday evening programs broadcast coast to coast from Martha Mary Chapel Macon. The 8 to 815 pm broadcasts run June 18 to July 9 with local participation by Saline school children and may extend beyond. The event marks Lenawee county’s first known radio broadcast from WXYZ WTOL WENR WLS WIBM WELL WIFF and WFDF Flint stations.
