Saline High to Hold Baccalaureate and Week of Commencement
The Saline High School closes its sixty sixth class year with a Sunday baccalaureate in the auditorium led by Rev. Bert Ede and music by the Community Choir under Mrs. Miriam Moore. Class Day Tuesday features student roles and a dramatization The Graduate's Seven Guides. Commencement Wednesday includes salutatory by Elizabeth Harwood valedictory by Dale Fosdick and a ship of ceremonies with Dr. Yoder delivering the address. The class, eighteen boys and twelve girls, will receive diplomas after a Niagara Falls trip planned for next week.

The Saline Rotary Club met at The Tavern for a noon program with Mrs. Merritt Martin selecting pieces. Fifteen numbers were played and judged, with Mr. Underwood of Milan and H. E. F. Henne achieving perfect scores and C. A. Curtiss close behind. Out of town guests A. C. Stevens and J. K. Underwood of Milan attended. Spectators in Puebla protested a matador.

Memorial Day Observed With Parade and Address
Cold morning gave way to pleasant sun as Memorial Day services along Michigan Avenue featured a marching corps, Legionnaires, a 23 member band, Auxiliary members, schoolchildren with flags, and a gathering that heard Prof. W. D. Henderson of the University deliver a reverent address. He recalled Big Rapids 40 years ago and urged dedication, decoration and prayer to honor the dead and preserve a just government.
