Saline High School Class of 1943 Commencement Program

The seventy third Saline High School graduation lists salutatory pieces by Ada Dahlgren and others, invocation by Rev. Bach, musical selections from the glee club, and diplomas presented to the Class of 1943 by Dr. Muyskens. Campaign To Return The Empties In Michigan

Michigan dairy bottler and retail groups launch Return the Empties urging patriots to collect over ten million returnable bottles. Volunteers will wash sterilize and reuse bottles to meet growing civilian and military needs due to shipping delays and overseas beverage shipments.

The S. V. F. Herd led county testing association No. 1 with an average yearly milk production of 9069 pounds and 446.3 pounds butterfat per cow from 57 cows. Cadence Mickey Barbara and Lois set individual records amid strong showings, with herd head Michael Sheehan guiding the operation since March 1938.

A sunny Thursday afternoon framed the annual Senior Swing-Out Parade for the Class of 1943. The band led the procession in uniform as seniors marched in gowns, with Miss Victoria Stoianowski, class advisor, guiding the Class of ’48 alongside Boy Scouts Girl Scouts and Future Farmers marching as separate groups carrying fidg and class numerals.

San Antonio cadet class departs for advanced pilot training
