Editorial Comment on Economy and Inflation
Editorial notes that production is higher with fewer workers and wages fluctuating. It questions inflation and deflation and argues that keeping many people poor under the democratic capitalist system sustains a small wealthy class. It laments national policy voices and calls for economic clarity.
The Case for Benevolent Capitalism and Poverty
The speaker argues capitalism rewards the few at the expense of the many, with wealth built on the labor of others. It lacks true reciprocity unless wealth is shared, or “the kitty” is benevolently distributed to those who create it, else most must remain poor.
