Saline sewer plant costs rise by twenty eight thousand dollars
Bob Norris of Ayers Lewis Norris May consulting engineers announced an $80 000 estimate for Saline sewer plant construction has increased by 28 000 due to higher labor and material costs while still expecting potential cost reductions and possible state and federal cost sharing. The plant to be built on Monroe street will use solids separation and aeration with chlorination and will be financed by a 30 year bond issue. Operating costs are projected under 2000 per year with gas heat capture offsetting part of the plant’s winter needs.
