Young Boy Dies After Burn Accident
Wilbur Ery 13 of the C A Jordan farm Saline Britton road iz died at St Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor at 4 am Wednesday July 21 from third degree burns to face neck and body. Accident occurred Tuesday when cattails burned under a tree exploded in his face. Funeral held Sunday at Reed funeral home Whiteford burial in Sylvania Ohio.

Saline Youth Injured in Truck Mishap Near Ypsilanti
Dave Leonard a Saline area youth, 17 years old, sustained head injuries in a road accident on Mapin road near Wiard fond in Ypsilanti township. He was riding a truck being towed by a car and jumped on the running board to start the motor. Leonard was taken to St. Josephs Hospital Ann Arbor for treatment and is reported improving.

The council chaired by Mayer Gross met July 12 1943 with members Lambarth Haarer Sugden Alber present. Minutes approved. A motion to remove a division on the apron drive between the Fucss Rankin apartments and Miss Margaret Miles was carried. The state accident policy was renewed with Mr Lange. Alber and Sugden to confer on building permits and water and sewer. Bills for June totaling 2952.85 were approved. The meeting adjourned.
