A vintage ad describes a German style meal featuring sauerkraut pig hock roast pork mashed potatoes gravy cucumber pickles home made biscuits rye bread apple pie cheese and coffee. Serving starts at 5 30 with a price of 35 cents. The author calls Adolf Hitler a dreamer though to the world he may be a nightmare.
Edmund E Gunther of Saline on the Saline Ann Arbor road has perfected a 20 year rubber process from farm crops and an industrial by product. He foresees tires testable and possibly produced from his rubber, with broad farmer benefits. He also plans a Tower of Babel with Hanging Gardens for the New York World's Fair, designed by Charles Wheeler Nichol, costing about 500000, featuring 12 000 feet of garden corridors, a restaurant, and more than 600 flower varieties.
Assistant scout executive Walter Danaher of Ann Arbor spoke at the Saline Rotary luncheon about dividing the southern district.
