Builders Plan Saline Sub-Division Housing Project
Everett Edwards, broker from Ypsilanti, says Joseph F Ferry Builders want to divide the Burk hart farm on M-11 into about 300 lots and start mass home construction next spring if sewer and water service can reach the edge of the subdivision. About 100 houses would be built first with frame and brick styles costing 11 000 to 15 000 on FHA terms. The land would be annexed to Saline City from Saline Township. Edwards notes Saline's growth and appeal as a community.

Blushing Cop Confesses Guilt After Car Crash
Emil Sattler heard a blushing police officer admit hitting his 1951 Oldsmobile in Ann Arbor on Dewey Street. The officer, present with another, would pay for damages and did not call more officers to the scene. Sattler noted the minor repair costs and cheekily wondered how the delay would be explained to the desk sergeant.

William Kinsley Dies at 81 In Ann Arbor Area
William Frederick Kinsley 81 of 214 North Ann Arbor Street died Tuesday evening in a hospital. Born June 13, 1873, he was son of William and Mary Landwehr, married to Lydia Hack who died in 1942. Survived by two sons Loren and Miles (deceased), sister Christine Thompson of British Columbia, half siblings Charles and Clara Scheffler, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A lifelong resident, he belonged to St. Pauls Evangelical Church. Funeral Friday at 2:00 PM at Lockwood Funeral Home, Oakwood Cemetery burial.
