Schmittle proposes water treatment and molasses mix for blue comb chickens

Schmittle recommends using potassium dichromate in drinking water at one level teaspoon per four gallons and molasses in the mash at 3 pounds per 100 pounds of mash. For stock feeding molasses use 5 pounds per 100 pounds. Feed for 10 days and if unsure about blue comb, submit an affected bird to the poultry diagnostic laboratory at M.8.C. in Hast Lansing.
