A large barn a smaller barn and a long shed on the Finis Noble farm in Lodi were destroyed by fire Monday. Firefighters arrived after 6 o clock but could only save surrounding structures. Wind spared the house and livestock. spontaneous combustion is suspected. Affected crops and implements were lost.

Obituary: George N. Groner 65 of Saline Township
George Nelson Groner aged 65 died at home in Saline Township on Wednesday morning last week. Born December 2, 1870 in Silverwood he was the son of Jacob and Beliza Stone Groner. He is survived by widow Lucella Johnson Groner daughter Dora Davis of Ann Arbor sister Jennie Ayers of Silverwood brothers Jacob of Pontiac Amos of Canada and one granddaughter. A son George died in 1907. Funeral services were held Friday at 1 30 pm at the residence Rev William Richards of Belleville officiating Burial was in Novi cemetery.

Philip Bracey, a genial old basketmaker living east of the Ennisville addition to Brooklyn, was found dead in his car near his home Tuesday morning. He had been in poor health and suffered recent illnesses. Ellsworth Bascom and C. M. Malosch discovered the vehicle after Bracey drove off the road and shut off the ignition. Justice Ralph Bartlett deemed no formal inquest necessary.
