Social events honoring Miss Clara Lambarth of Saline and Detroit included a bridal shower hosted by Mrs. Harold Lambarth and Mrs. Theodore Stroup on April 10, a kitchen shower for Miss Lambarth on April 15 hosted by Mrs. Gerald Coe with Ypsilanti hospital staff in attendance, and a dinner party at the Dearborn Inn hosted by Miss Wilhelmina Curns on April 18. The Willing Workers met with Mrs. Jessie Forsythe on Thursday April 15 with Grace Holcomb chairing in the absence of the president and vice president. They elected delegates Mrs. Julia Carey and Mrs. Mabel Needham to the County Federation at Saline Methodist church on May 15. Treasurer Mrs. Bertie Gordon reported the bond bought. Carey spoke on International Relations and Monroe read on Madame Chiang Kai Chek. 26 members and guests attended including Mrs. Blanche Gauntlett of Milan and Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Faust of Saline township. Supper was served, and the group planned to meet with Mrs. Hazel Scudder in May.
