Property owners push pavement switch in Kent district
In the Kent district, property owners urged the city to replace Westrumite pavement with asphaltic concrete on Arey le Willis and connected streets from Westrumite. Contracts linked to Westrumite were set 18 months earlier after petitions from owners. Investigations eroded confidence, leading to waivers and a bond plan to cover remaining pavement, with the street committee recommending substitution.
