Use Of Salk Vaccine Could Eliminate Polio
Baylor University researchers report in JAMA that proper use of the Salk polio vaccine could virtually eliminate paralytic poliomyelitis and aseptic meningitis in Houston area cases from 1958 to 1960. Their study shows high protection after three or more doses, noting few paralytic or aseptic cases among fully vaccinated individuals.
