GEDARTON Home Demonstration Club Meets at Hazel Bryants

Mrs. Pearl McCullin Visits Community Quilt Circle

Mrs. Pearl McCullin of Shreveport spent a couple of weeks in the community visiting relatives and helping with quilting. Bernice Pearl Strickland Retires After 19 Years as Clerk

After nearly two decades as a clerk at the Bernice post office Pearl Strickland retired on March 31. Appointed in September 1942, she served continuously until retirement. Beall Company Names Officers After 1951 Formation

In early 1951 W F Beall and R C Ladyman created a company to acquire five stores founded by H A Nichols. The Beall Ladyman venture, later named W F Beall Company, operated stores on Greenwood Road Shreveport and in Minden Ruston Jonesboro and Mansfield. Beall served as president and Ladyman as vice president until Beall's death in 1953.
