Man Killed In Truck Accident West Of Roswell
Seferino Archuleta died in a truck overturn near Roswell nine miles west when a Crombie Co Dodge driven by Fetiz Villarial flipped after a rear tire blowout. Archuleta, picked up minutes earlier, was crushed beneath the truck while returning from Tinkhie to Roswell. Funeral services were held later that day at Tal mage Memorial Chapel.

A Roosevelt Special delayed four hours at Helena Missoula after a North Coast Limited derailment near Missoula. Governor Franklin D Roosevelt, en route to Seattle for an all day layover, appeared at Missoula with his family and thanked bystanders, saying the derailment would not stop the trip. The eastbound train from Seattle to Chicago derailed when a driving axle broke, derailing the engine and baggage cars but causing no injuries.

Extradition Granted for Jack Sullivan in New Mexico
Extradition papers approved for Jack Sullivan wanted in Texas for an Orton bank robbery. Sullivan, hospitalized in Albuquerque with bullet wounds from a pursuit near Mountainair, is linked to the Pebworth ranch shooting that killed Harve Bolin and wounded Deputy Hollis. 103 Years For Sheep Stealing
Ben Herrera and Eduardo Salazar of Rio Arriba county pleaded guilty to stealing and killing sheep and were sentenced to one to five years in the state penitentiary. District Judge M. A. Otero, Jr. oversaw the hearing. Herrera received a suspended sentence, while Salazar began his term. Detective H. C. Martin of Santa Fe arrested them.

Santa Fean Dies From Carbon Monoxide In Garage
T J Holderman a 50 year old Santa Fe insurance man was found dead in his garage yesterday with the automobile engine running to operate a tire pump. The coroner's inquest attributed death to carbon monoxide with the doors closed. Survived by his widow and one son.

Governor Frees Two From Prison Pardons Anaya Aragon
Governor Arthur Seligman granted full pardons to Emiterio Anaya of Guadalupe County and Alfredo Aragon of San Miguel County. Anaya had faced 18 months to two years in the state penitentiary with a suspended sentence for good behavior. Aragon, sentenced December 1922 to two to two and a half years, also had a suspended sentence lifted.
