The Knights of Pythias Grand Lodge held its annual meeting in Albuquerque with record attendance. Election results list W. E. Dudley as Grand Chancellor and A. R. O Quinn as Grand Vice Chancellor among others. A banquet honored guests P. T. Long and W. B. Warner. The domain reports peace and prosperity.
Johnnie Kipling opens his confectionery in Roswell to immediate crowds. The shop features weathered oak fixtures, marble and leaded glass decorations, a grand soda fountain with a mirror, ornate cases and electric lighting. A candy factory operates in the back as staff produce a variety of sweets.
A terrible accident damaged a ship near Hong Kong injuring crew and causing navigation disruption. Authorities investigated the incident while salvage and safety crews worked at the scene.
