Awards posted for agricultural division with apples pears and pumpkins, plus standings in cattle and horse exhibits. Carnival of Specialties draws big audience on Main Street with a $327 take and plans a repeat tonight.
Advices from Roseburg Oregon report a clash between Greeks and the railroad gang superintendent and his party. The superintendent's wife was killed along with two Greeks in the violence.
Tokio reports German steamers Amstruse and Hans Wagner seized off Fusan and Nishima for contraband bound to Vladivostock. British steamer Lehos hit a floating mine 90 miles east of Shan Tung lighthouse on Sept. 30 with fifteen crew and passengers missing.
